THANE: A woman in Navi Mumbai has been charged by the police for allegedly assaulting her 11-year-old daughter for neglecting her siblings, according to an official statement on Tuesday.
The incident, which resulted in injuries to the girl, occurred on September 26 in the Nerul area. The accused, a 30-year-old domestic worker, is now facing charges under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act-2015.
The complaint was filed by a female constable and was followed by an order from the Child Welfare Committee in Ulhasnagar after a mediation process. The FIR was registered on Monday at the Nerul police station.
