CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu won the second best state award for the best Smart City projects in the country, with Madhya Pradesh winning the first prize.
D Karthikeyan, secretary for municipal administration and water supply department, received the award from President Droupadi Murmu at the Smart Cities Conclave organised by the Union government in Indore on Wednesday.
The Greater Chennai Corporation displayed various projects, including a model of T Nagar pedestrian plaza.
