Dubey, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), said it is for Mahua to answer whether NIC mails were accessed in Dubai or not and if questions were asked in exchange for money.
“The question is about the dignity of Parliament, security of India and the proprietary, corruption and criminality of the alleged MP. The MP has to answer whether NIC mails were accessed in Dubai or not. She also needs to answer if questions were asked in exchange for money or not and who bore the expenses for the trips abroad,” he posted on X.
Dubey’s attack came over Mahua’s allegations that he submitted a fake degree in his election nomination papers.
The Godda MP’s post also mentioned that Mahua needs to answer whether she took the Lok Sabha Speaker’s permission for her trips abroad.
“Did she take Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and the external affairs ministry’s permission to go abroad or not? The question is not about Adani, degree or theft, but about corruption and misleading the country,” he added.
The BJP leader has accused Mahua of accepting bribes and favours for asking questions in Lok Sabha at the behest of businessman Darshan Hiranandani to target the Adani Group and PM Narendra Modi.
Recently, in a signed affidavit submitted to the Lok Sabha committee which is probing charges against Mahua, businessman Hiranandani admitted to using the TMC MP’s parliamentary login to ask questions targeting Adani.
