NEW DELHI: Traffic may be affected in some areas on Sunday as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate India International Convention and Expo Centre (IICEC) in Dwarka.
Delhi Traffic Police issued an official advisory on Saturday listing a series of traffic regulations and diversions in the city.
The route from NH-48 to Nirmal Dham Nala (UER-II) will be significantly impacted throughout the day. Consequently, commuters are encouraged to avoid using the UER-II stretch (from NH-48 to Nirmal Dham Nala).
Commuters are advised to consider alternate routes for the following destinations – “While going to Najafgarh from NH-8, use Bijwasan-Najafgarh Road. For accessing NH-48 via UER-II from Najafgarh/Dwarka, take a left turn from Dhulsiras Chowk towards Dwarka Sector 23 and proceed along Road number 224,” as per the advisory.
Furthermore, for travelling to Gurgaon from Dwarka, the recommended route is to take Dhulsiras Road towards Bamnoli village and subsequently use Najafgarh-Bijwasan Road. Residents of Dwarka sub-city and west Delhi are advised to take Palam flyover to reach their respective destinations.
