With blood smeared tablecloth and skeletons hanging in the air, a lavish feast will be laid for ghosts, ghouls and witches on the night of October 31. Restaurants across NCR are all set to offer patrons a perfectly spooky experience and a bloody good time with Halloweenspecial menus and decor. The menu includes drinks like ghost’s eye, bloody zombie and grave digger and dishes like monster baos and spiderweb pizza.And for those who are dressing up for Halloween, there will be selfie and photo booths.
Tricking with treats
Halloween is all about creating drama. So, chefs are coming up with special menus and working extra hard on presentation. “We have curated special Halloween menu that has monster burger (burgers with caramelised onion and jalapeno), sliced bloody kidney (beetroot with cottage cheese with sauteed exotic vegetable, parsley rice), spiderweb pizza, bat poison wings (grilled pineapple tossed with chicken wings),” shares Shubh Sharma, founder, Mayfair Dwarka. “At one of our restaurants we have come up with a Halloween-special dinner. From pumpkin pie to sugar cookies, each dish celebrates the flavour of the season,” says a spokesperson from JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity.

Skeletons, jack-o-lanterns, and spiderwebs – all Halloween essentials will be there to create a perfect setting for a spooky night. “From Halloween props to scary photo booths and a costume contest – we have done elaborate preps for Halloween,” says Sahil Sambhi, founder, Molecule. “A special menu, face painting booth and other exciting activities have been planned to make Halloween the spookiest experience,” adds Divya Aggarwal, chief growth officer, Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality.

Bakers in the city tell us that the demand for Halloween-themed cakes and desserts picked up a week before Halloween. Aavika Chhawcharia, founder, Honey and Dough, says, “Since last two-three years, we have been getting a lot of orders for Halloween special cakes. We have been doing Halloween special cakes on orders, like a Spider Man web cake and a haunted house cake. We are also doing Halloween-themed cookies and muffins.”
