# Jos Buttler produced a strike rate of 245.45 during his outstanding knock of 54 off 22 balls for Rajasthan Royals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad at Hyderabad on April 2 – the highest strike rate in an innings of 50-plus in this IPL so far.
# Buttler’s 20-ball fifty in the aforesaid game is the quickest half century in IPL 2023 so far.

# Kyle Mayers remains the only other batter to register a strike rate of 200-plus in a fifty-plus knock – 240.90 during his 53 off 22 balls for Lucknow Super Giants vs Chennai Super Kings at Chennai on April 3.
# Chennai’s Ruturaj Gaikwad, with 149 runs at an average of 74.50, including two fifties, in two innings, is the top run-getter in this edition of the IPL so far.

# Gaikwad’s tally of 13 sixes (apart from seven fours) is the highest by any batter in this IPL so far.
# Lucknow Super Giants have recorded 80 runs (80/1) in the power play for the first time in the IPL.
# Lucknow’s Kyle Mayers has recorded back to back fifties in the IPL – 73 vs Delhi at Lucknow on April 1 and 53 vs Chennai at Chennai on April 3 – the first player to accomplish the feat at the beginning of his IPL career.
# Mayers’ 21-ball fifty, during his innings of 53 off 22 balls at Chennai on April 3 is the second quickest in this IPL so far.
# Mahendra Singh Dhoni hit two sixes off the first two balls he faced before getting out on the next ball vs Lucknow Super Giants at Chennai on April 3. He became the first player to accomplish the feat in the history of the IPL.

# Chennai Super Kings have registered their highest ever power play score (79/0) at Chepauk, Chennai in the IPL, outstripping the 75 for one vs KKR on April 10, 2018.
# Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis shared a partnership of 148 for the first wicket for RCB vs Mumbai Indians at Bengaluru on April 2 – the highest by any pair in this IPL so far.
# The above partnership is the highest for RCB for any wicket in a successful chase against Mumbai Indians in the IPL.

# For the first time in the history of the IPL, two eleven-ball overs were bowled – both in this edition – Chennai’s Tushar Deshpande vs Lucknow at Chennai on April 3 and RCB’s Mohammed Siraj vs Mumbai Indians at Bengaluru on April 2.
