GHAZIABAD: A fire broke out in a mini food corner shop no-5 near Nainital Bank Sector-04 Vaishali in Uttar Pradesh‘s Ghaziabad on Thursday evening.
The fire department officials suspected that the incident might have happened due to a short circuit. No casualty was reported.
According to the fire department, a total of 3 fire tenders were used to control the situation. The food corner was located at the place for the last one year.
Rahul Pal, Chief Fire Officer (CFO) said that the incident took place around 7.25 pm on Thursday. “We received information with immediate effect after that a fire department team reached the spot to help”, he said.
“As we reached and found that the flames and smoke were very strong, the fire unit quickly extinguished the blaze by extending the hose line and completely extinguishing the fire, there was no loss of life,” Pal said.
“A total of three fire tenders were sent from Vaishali fire station to douse the flame and it took 30 minutes to control the situation,” he said.
The city has recorded 510 fire incidents between January and May, with the maximum number of such cases, 150, in May. April saw 124 fires; earlier, January, February, and March logged 56, 86, and 94 incidents, respectively.
