World Cup: Armed Duo Held While Robbing 4,000 From Bar | Thane News



THANE: Two armed robbers, including an externed criminal, were arrested after they sneaked inside a bar to steal cash, said the police on Thursday.
A case was registered against Nagendra Maurya (30) and Manoj Gupta (23), under the relevant sections of the IPC.
The duo, armed with a knife, entered the bar from its kitchen and stole Rs 4,000. The staff alerted the police, who rushed to the spot and caught the duo.

Gang manipulating weighbridges to steal crores of iron bars busted
The crime branch of Rajasthan police has uncovered a gang involved in stealing tons of TMT iron bars from construction sites. The gang manipulated weighbridges using a remote device to pilfer the bars. The gang is suspected of stealing bars worth up to Rs 3 crore. Two main accused are currently on the run, and the police have detained other suspects. The operation was facilitated with the help of a transportation company. The gang would reroute trucks carrying the bars to a warehouse where they would steal them using a small electronic device to alter weight measurements.
