THANE: A woman in her early thirties died in Maljipada in the district after falling off a motorcycle on hitting a pothole and coming under the wheels of a dumper truck, said the police on Friday. The accident took place on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway (NH-8) late on Thursday night.
The deceased was identified by the police as Laxmi Gupta. She had been returning from the Tungareshwar temple in the district and was riding pillion when the accident happened.
