Three passengers injured after alighting from running train at Kalyan station



MUMBAI: Three unidentified passengers, who attempted to alight from a running train, suffered injuries at Central Railway’s (CR) Kalyan station on Friday morning.
According to CR official, the incident happened in 2124 Pune-CSMT Deccan express which does not have a scheduled halt at Kalyan station.
“The train was running through Kalyan station’s from platform number 7 at 09.38am. Three passengers tried to deboard from the running train at Kalyan and fell down,” said CR official.
As per primary report, out of 3 passengers, one passenger suffered minor injuries, while other two passengers, aged around 40 and 25 years, have sustained critical injuries.
These passengers were rushed to Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation’s (KDMC) Rukmini bai hospital near Kalyan station by the security personnel and station staff.
Further details about exact condition of passengers health from hospital authorities is awaited.
Official said that train was stopped immediately on seeing passengers falling down from the train. The train was detained at Kalyan station from 9.38am to 09.50am.
