CHENNAI: A 55-year-old drunk man, who was fast asleep at his home in Chennai’s Kannagi Nagar on Wednesday night, died of asphyxiation after fire spread from a mosquito coil to his bedsheet. The deceased has been identified as Moorthy, who was employed as a security guard at Santhome. Moorthy reached home around 11pm on Wednesday. He was drunk.
