CHENNAI: The Chennai police on Thursday arrested orator and former VHP leader RBVS Manian for his inflammatory speech on Ambedkar and Tiruvalluvar.
Based on a complaint filed by a social activist, a police team led by T Nagar assistant commissioner of police Bharathiraja went to his house in Rajammal Street and arrested him.
In his speech, Manian stated that Ambedkar had worked as a proofreader under the first President of India, Rajendra Prasad.
