Thane: Two persons have been booked by the Mumbra police for mowing down a pup and injuring another dog in their society in the Diva area. The police said that the complainant is an animal activist. In the complaint, she alleged that they found a corpse of a one-month old pup. The activist, thus, checked the CCTV footage and found, the accused who lives in the same society was driving a car that mowed down the pup. Again five days later, another driver driving a car ran over another dog due to which the dog sustained a fracture on the spine. Hence, the activist registered a case against the two persons. tnn
