THANE: A 50-year-old man suffered injuries when a section of a balcony collapsed on him at a factory in Bhiwandi town in Maharashtra’s Thane district, on Saturday.
The incident occurred in the Kaneri area of the town around 1.30pm, resulting in Rafique Khan sustaining a head injury. He was taken to a hospital, reported Faisal Tatli, the civic disaster management officer.
Upon arrival, local firefighters swiftly initiated rescue and relief efforts at the site, Tatli added.
