NEW DELHI: Thunderstorm with heavy rain lashed parts of Delhi and the National Capital Region on Saturday evening. Areas, including south and southeast Delhi witnessed heavy downpour around 6pm.
The IMD had issued a forecast for rain a day back saying that the city was likely to witness rain accompanied by thunder and lightning with the maximum temperature likely to settle at 30 degrees Celsius.

The rainfall in the past few days has kept the temperature from surging in Delhi-NCR.
Even on Friday, the city witnessed a trace of rainfall and the maximum temperature was recorded three notches below normal at 28.5 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature stood at 16.8 degrees Celsius.
