Rival factions of the Nationalist Congress Party have opened separate party offices in the national capital this week after its joint office at Canning Road was asked to be vacated when the party lost its national party status.
On Wednesday, the Ajit Pawar faction of NCP inaugurated its new central office at North Avenue with working president Praful Patel performing a ‘havan’.
The Sharad Pawar-led NCP, meanwhile, opened its central office at 81, Lodhi Estate.
Patel said NCP will hold its maiden working committee meeting with Maharashtra deputy CM Ajit Pawar in attendance in the newly inaugurated party office post Dussehra.
