Thane: A decomposed body of an unidentified middle-aged man was found in one of the drains at Mumbra colony, on Sunday, the police informed. An official from the Mumbra police station said they were alerted by locals about a stench emanating from one of the drains and on inspection spotted the corpse lying in a decomposed state. Following the initial probe, the police said there was no evidence of foul play but have sent the corpse for autopsy at the Kalwa CSMM hospital.
An accidental death report has been filed and further investigations will be done, said the police.
