MUMBAI: Due to rising demand, Railways has decided to increase coaches of two Ganpati special trains which go through Konkan.
The 01167/68 LTT-Kudal Express earlier had 22 coaches and will now operate with 24 coaches from September 20. This includes additional sleeper and general coach, an official said.
The 01165/66 LTT- Mangalore Exp earlier had 22 coaches, and will now have 24 coaches from September 22. “We are increasing the number of coaches as there is a huge rush of commuters this festive season,” said Central Railway chief spokesperson Shivraj Manaspure.
