MUMBAI: A security guard was arrested by the Malwani police recently for molesting a minor girl in a housing society at Malad West. The Malwani Police registered a case under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
Police said the guard used to drop the 10-year-old victim home and had molested her on a few occasions in the past.
The latest incident occurred a few days ago when the girl was returning home from school.
She was on the building staircase when the guard touched her inappropriately.
This time, the girl complained to her mother. Her parents then approached the Malwani police station and an FIR was registered. The guard was taken into custody.
As the girl is a minor and the accused is known to her, their identities have not been disclosed in accordance with legal guidelines.
