KALYAN: The Kalyan GRP arrested a 45-year-old man who assaulted a woman home guard after she stopped him from boarding the ladies compartment. The incident took place on Thursday night, when home guard Neeraj Mukadam was on duty in first class ladies compartment in a local train between Vashind and Asangaon station, said the Kalyan GRP.
Mokadam stopped the accused who was trying to enter the ladies compartment on Vashind station, who then entered the coach from another gate, assaulted the home guard and fled when the train arrived at Asangaon station.The Kalyan GRP, using CCTV, nabbed the accused,Maruti Atram, within 24 hours of the incident.
