Maharashtra: Man held for killing friend by strangulating with mobile charging wire in Kalyan | Thane News



KALYAN: A 28-year-old man has been killed by his friend by strangulating him with a mobile charger wire over minor dispute in Maharashtra’s Kalyan
The deceased has been identified as Anil Yadav (24) while the name of the accused is Hiralal Nishad(28).
The incident came to light in Khadegolivali area in Kalyan (East). Police said both Anil Yadav and his friend Hiralal Nishad worked in a chappal factory in the Khadegolivali area of Kalyan East.
Both of them lived with their colleagues in the godown of the same factory. Police said on Monday late night Anil and Hiralal drank alcohol during which an argument took place between them over some minor reason.
Anil threw water on Hiralal’s face.
Enraged by this, Hiralal threatened Anil. Police found that when Anil was sleeping in the godown during the night Hiralal strangled him with the wire of a mobile charger and killed him.
On Tuesday morning, the other workers saw Anil’s body and informed the local Kolsewadi police.
Kalyanji Ghete, Assistant Commissioner of Police said, “After our Kolsewadi police team received complaint they immediately launched search and arrested the accused”.
