KOLKATA: Passenger count in Kolkata Metro crossed the 8 lakh mark on Sasht on Friday.
After a gap of 1,474 days, the North-South Metro carried more than 8 lakh passengers. The last time the city lifeline registered 8 lakh ridership was on 7 October 2019.
On Friday, the North-South Metro carried 8,00,033 passengers with 289 services.
The maximum passenger count of 83,498 was recorded at Dumdum, followed by Kalighat with 66,181, Shovabazar-Sutanuti 49,872 and Esplanade 46,255.
