The North Western Railway (NWR) started the ‘14 Minute Miracle Scheme’.
Among the trains cleaned in just 14 minutes include Udaipur-Jaipur, Bilaspur – Nagpur, Secunderabad-Tirupati, Puri-Rourkela and Gandhinagar-Mumbai Central.
For cleaning the Udaipur-Jaipur Vande Bharat, three cleaning staffers were deployed in each coach and different tasks were distributed to them.
Darshana Jardosh, Minister of State (MoS) for Railways, also shared a video of trains getting cleaned in just 14 minutes.
“Cleanliness Fortnight is being celebrated by Indian Railways which has started a 14 Minute Miracle Scheme from October 1 to complete the cleaning of platform and return the Vande Bharat trains in just 14 minutes,” said Shashi Kiran, chief public relations officer of NWR.
Earlier this week, the Central Railway Mumbai division also achieved a milestone by cleaning the train 17222 LTT-Kakinada Port Express in a record seven-minute timeframe under a trial project.
This is a new standard for efficiency in Indian Railways on the lines of “the seven-minute cleaning miracle” of the Japanese Shinkansen (bullet train), said CR chief spokesperson Shivraj Manaspure on Saturday.
