New Delhi: A head constable displayed quick thinking and bravery when she foiled a knife-point robbery at a bus stand near Peeragarhi flyover in Mangolpuri on Dec 8, police said. The act of bravery was lauded by Commissioner of Police Satish Golchha. Head constable Sushila, a resident of Sadh Nagar, was waiting for a bus around 1.30 pm when three men approached her, armed with knives. They threatened to stab her if she did not hand over her mobile phone. One assailant snatched the phone, but Sushila resisted, caught him and raised an alarm. The other two fled. The accused, later identified as a resident of Prem Nagar, was apprehended on the spot. The stolen mobile phone was recovered and returned.
