RAMPUR: Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan, who was convicted in a fake birth certificate case, expressed fear of being killed in an encounter before the Uttar Pradesh police shifted him and his son Abdullah Azam to different jails from Rampur, on Saturday night.

Azam, along with his wife Tanzeem Fatima and his son Abdullah Azam, was convicted by a court in Uttar Pradesh on October 18 in a fake birth certificate case.
They were awarded a seven-year jail term and a fine of Rs 15,000 was imposed on all three.
Rampur’s additional SP Sansar Singh has said that Azam Khan was shifted from the jail due to security reasons.
According to reports, Azam Khan is being shifted to Hardoi Jail and Abdullah Azam to Sitapur Jail.
