Govt sanctions Rs 107 crore to restore temple | Thane News



THANE: The Ambernath Municipal Council (AMC) has approved a tender of Rs 107 crore to beautify and restore a 11th century Shiva temple.
The temple will be rebuilt akin to Kashi’s Vishwanath temple. The contract for work has been given to Savani Heritage Conservation Pvt. Ltd. The AMC implemented the beautification work after it received an NOC from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
The 11th century Shiv temple is situated on the bank of the Waldhuni river that attracts a number of tourists.
