The Sunderbans largely remains under-developed and can be developed to its true potential under proper political leadership, said Union environment minister Bhupender Yadav on Sunday.Yadav, who is also BJP’s election in-charge in Bengal added: “There are problems of encroachment, illegal migrants and poor development of tourism infrastructure. This is a Unesco World Heritage site. But I believe there’s a monopoly here in terms of tourism activities.”“Only a few people here, including boat owners, are enjoying a monopoly in tourism. This should change,” Yadav added.
