Eastern Circle commissioner of railway safety inspection paves way for running trains on Mohanpur–Hansdiha section | Kolkata News



KOLKATA: Eastern Circle commissioner of railway safety (CRS) Suvomoy Mitra, on Friday, inspected the newly constructed (22.13 km) electrified broad gauge line between Hansdiha and Harlatanr stations on Mohanpur–Hansdiha section of Eastern Railway for opening the route for running goods and passenger traffic.
Chief administrative officer (construction) VK Srivastava, divisional railway manager, Asansol, Permanand Sharma and other senior officials of the headquarters and Asansol division accompanied Mitra.
Mitra inspected station premises, panel rooms, relay room, IPS Room, emergency counters, signalling system, disconnection/reconnection and interlocking system of Hansdiha and Harlatanr stations.
As a part of the inspection, Mitra conducted a motor trolley inspection between Hansdiha and Harlatanr stations on the new line wherein bridges, railway track fittings, P-way assets and level crossing gates were also inspected.
Mitra also reviewed the project drawing at Hansdiha station.
Mitra also conducted a speed trial on the new line.
ER surpasses target
Eastern Railway, under the leadership of general manager Arun Arora, has shown a stellar performance in respect of originating revenue generation.
Eastern Railway has surpassed the target for Originating Revenue by 1% a day before the end of the financial year 2022-23.
The Originating Revenue of Eastern Railway was recorded at Rs 10,342.01 crore on March 30 in respect of the target of Rs 10,267.78 crore in the current financial year.
This Originating Revenue of Eastern Railway in 2022-23 is also 20.16% higher in comparison to that in the previous fiscal.
