KALYAN: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Yuva Morcha Kalyan district president Vaibhav Gaikwad on Thursday appealed to all party leaders not to put banners and posters on the beautified street lights in the city that falls under Maharashtra’s Thane district.
Under the Smart City Project in the twin cities of Kalyan-Dombivli, electric poles at chowks and dividers have been beautified with beautiful lights but banners and posters of many political parties have spoiled their looks and the efforts put up by authorities.

Gaikwad, son of BJP MLA Ganpat Gaikwad, was recently appointed to the post. He said that he would also ask his party people not to put up posters at such places.
