NEW DELHI: A Delhi Police head constable has been arrested for allegedly raping a woman in the Mahendra Park area. The woman in her complaint alleged that the accused had lured her on the pretext of marriage but later refused to.
According to the police, the accused cop has been identified as Balwinder. He is posted in the first Batallion. Police said the accused and the victim started speaking to each other in March-April this year.
Based on the woman’s complaint, an FIR was registered in the matter on September 30 at Mahendra Park Police station and the cop was arrested. Further investigations are underway in this matter.
