THANE: Trans-harbour route commuters from Thane may face inconvenience as the Central Railway will shut the staircase of CSMT end bridge on platform 9-10 for ten days starting March 28, late night, for repairs.
“The staircase of old footover bridge towards CSMT end connecting platforms 9-10 at Thane railway station will be shut for ten days for repair work. Four other staircases at the platform 9-10 connecting with the foot over bridges are available for commuters’ use,” said a statement by CR officials.
It may be noted that platforms 9-10 are one of the busiest ones at Thane station witnessing huge traffic especially during peak hours of commuters travelling to and from Navi Mumbai, Panvel.
