KALYAN: The Mahatma Phule police have served a notice to Ganesh mandal run by Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Vijay Salvi for targeting the Central government through its decoration.
The mandal’s theme this year is ‘Democracy is at peril’ where it has shown that the Centre has captured all the four pillars of democracy. The mandal called Vijay Tarun Mitra Mandal is celebrating its 60 years. Last year, the cops had seized its decoration material where they had targetted Shiv Sena split. This year the cops have asked the mandal to desist from using any material or audio clips that could trigger. Salvi who heads the mandal told TOI, “We had already alerted the police about our plan.” BJP‘s Kalyan city president Varun Patil said, “Vijay Salvi’s Ganesh Mandal is a narrow-minded group.”
