Chennai businessman arrested for filming neighbour in bathroom | Chennai News

CHENNAI: A businessman was arrested on Tuesday for filming his neighbour, a dentist, while she was bathing at her house in Ayanavaram. The FIR was filed three days after the woman raised a complaint on Monday, following which he was produced before the magistrate and sent to jail on Tuesday.On Saturday, the woman spotted an individual training his mobile phone camera at her bathroom. She alerted her mother, who found neighbour Nandakumar, 57, on the terrace holding the smartphone, following which a confrontation ensued. However, following a complaint, the police detained Nandakumar and found more than a dozen video clips stored on his phone. When police delayed registering the FIR, the woman escalated the matter to deputy commissioner Jareena Begum of Kilpauk.Acting on the official’s directions, Ayanavaram police registered a case on Monday night and arrested Nandakumar on Tuesday.
