Arvind Kejriwal has taken care of Delhi’s senior citizens like his own parents, says minister Atishi | Delhi News



NEW DELHI: At a gathering of elderly individuals embarking on a pilgrimage under a government scheme, Delhi revenue minister Atishi appreciated chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s dedication to the well-being of senior citizens in the national capital.
The 80th train, part of the Chief Minister Teerth Yatra Scheme, set off for Dwarkadhish with 780 elderly devotees from the Safdarjung Railway Station.

Prior to their journey, a ‘Bhajan Sandhya’ event was organized at the Thyagaraj Stadium by the Delhi government for all the pilgrims. Atishi met the elderly passengers and handed over travel kits and tickets to them.
Atishi commended Kejriwal for treating senior citizens as his own parents and ensuring they have the opportunity to undertake this pilgrimage. She extended her warm wishes to the pilgrims, encouraging them to have a meaningful journey and to pray for the prosperity of the nation and Delhi.
Under the Chief Minister Teerth Yatra Scheme, a total of 79 trains have already taken more than 77,000 senior citizens on various pilgrimage journeys throughout India.
This program offers travel opportunities to revered destinations such as Rameshwaram, Dwarkadhish, Somnath, Nageshwar, Jagannath Puri, Baba Mahakal in Ujjain, Shirdi Sai Baba, Tirupati Balaji, Ayodhya, Mata Vaishno Devi, Pushkar, Fatehpur Sikri, Golden Temple in Amritsar, Kartarpur Sahib, Mathura-Vrindavan, and Haridwar.
