NEW DELHI: A 28-year-old man was allegedly shot at for playing DJ during Dussehra in Central Delhi’s Ranjit Nagar on Wednesday evening. Police said the accused got angry over the loud music and shot at the victim who was dancing with his friends.
The victim was identified as Sunny alias Bidi, a resident of Ranjit Nagar. He has a criminal background.
Police were informed about the incident around 10.50pm on October 24.The victim was dancing on DJ along with others during Dussehra celebrations near Kali Mata Mandir in Ranjit Nagar when an argument broke out between Sunny and the accused, Yogesh, a history sheeter.
“The argument turned into a violent scuffle and Yogesh shot at Sunny,” an officer said, adding that the accused had been arrested and booked for attempt to murder. The victim suffered an injury on his hand and is undergoing treatment.
