MUMBAI: A petty argument over taking over the parcel outside a restaurant and bar in Chembur led to a physical fight between two friends and a 22 year old youth. The duo beat up the youth to death and have been arrested. The deceased has been identified as Anil Dharam Randive, a resident of Chembur camp who used to work in a decorator’s office. The two accused are Rithik Bajaj (23) and Harshad Valhotra (27) .
According to the police, the incident took place on Sunday l when the trio assembled outside Sannidhi Bar and Restaurant which is just half a km from Chembur police station. Police said, “When the waiter brought the parcel, the deceased claimed it was his, while the duo claimed it was theirs. As both parties had ordered the same dish there was confusion and this led to a verbal fight between them followed by the physical fight which killed the youth.”
